About the position

We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior React Developer to join our team for a banking sector client in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will have 8 years of experience in React development, with a strong emphasis on React Hooks and React Router. This hybrid position allows for a blend of remote and in-office work. As a Senior React Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing user-friendly, responsive web applications using React.js. You will utilize React Hooks for state management and side effects in functional components, and implement routing solutions using React Router to create seamless navigation experiences. In this role, you will collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into high-quality code, optimizing components for maximum performance across a variety of web-capable devices and browsers. You will conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure best practices in coding and design. Working closely with backend developers, you will integrate APIs to ensure smooth data flow and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner, ensuring a high-quality user experience. Staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends will be essential to continually improve product offerings.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in React development.
• Strong proficiency in React.js, including React Hooks and React Router.
• Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Context API).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the banking or financial services sector.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Enzyme) for unit and integration testing.
• Familiarity with modern front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel).
• Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices.
