About the position

The React Developer position is a long-term contract role based in Houston, Texas, focused on developing user interfaces using React and JavaScript/TypeScript. The role requires a strong background in software development and UI design, with an emphasis on adaptability and independent work in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop user interfaces using React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Collaborate with team members to design and implement web applications.
• Connect to Microservices, REST APIs, and GraphQL APIs.
• Utilize modern JavaScript techniques including ES6/ES7 features.
• Implement state management using Redux.
• Ensure web security methodologies are followed.
• Work with both relational and non-relational databases.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong experience in User Interface design.
• Familiarity with modern and vanilla JavaScript techniques.
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
• Knowledge of asynchronous programming including Promises and async/await.
• Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or Computer Science preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Elastic Search and Time Based DB.
