Responsibilities

• Lead projects by collaborating with engineering and product teams to define product requirements and technical specifications.
• Write, maintain, standardize, and enforce code quality through test-driven development.
• Architect and design implementations, providing documentation and guidance to other engineers.
• Contribute to project needs and the evolution of team practices, recommending changes in development and system standards.
• Select methods and techniques to identify, resolve, and develop solutions for complex architectural application changes.
• Support and mentor senior developers through code reviews, knowledge-sharing, and technical leadership.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building highly scalable and performant web applications serving millions of users and requests.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
• Experience architecting sophisticated technical changes and achieving consensus for solutions.
• Expert knowledge in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
• Proven track record in defining and implementing API specifications while collaborating with service teams.
• Ability to see projects from beginning to end and quickly learn new technologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience shipping production-level React/Node.js applications with high availability and throughput deployed to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
• Expert understanding of web accessibility fundamentals.
• Expansive industry knowledge regarding web standards and new technologies.
