About the position

Kforce's client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a 6-person scrum team of React Java AWS Engineers. This role involves hands-on development and mentorship, particularly for a Lead Developer located in Wilmington, DE. The position emphasizes collaboration, technical problem-solving, and the creation of high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
  • Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets for continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
  • Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
  • Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
  • Foster a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
  • Strong skills in object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD), data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Proficient in front-end technologies such as React/ReactJS, Redux, Angular/AngularJS, ExtJS, JQuery, NodeJS, or other web frameworks.
  • Proficient in coding in Java.
  • Advanced knowledge in two or more technologies: Functional Programming, BPMN, Microservices, RESTful web services development, JMS, Kafka, Hibernate.
  • Experience with JDBC/JPBA frameworks such as Hibernate or MyBatis.
  • Experience developing with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, Karma, Protractor, Jasmine, Mocha, Selenium, and Cucumber.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cloud Native architecture (Azure/AWS), Containerization/Kubernetes/Terraform.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, and non-functional requirements like resiliency, performance, and security.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
