About the position

Kforce Inc is seeking React Java AWS Engineers to join a 6-person scrum team at one of the world's largest financial institutions. This role involves software design, development, and troubleshooting, with a focus on creating secure, high-quality production code. The position is based in Wilmington, DE, and includes mentoring responsibilities for a team of developers, promoting collaboration and growth within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
  • Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
  • Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets.
  • Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
  • Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
  • Strong skills around object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD), data structures, algorithms, design patterns.
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Proficient in a front-end technology such as React/ReactJS, Redux, Angular/AngularJS, ExtJS, JQuery, NodeJS, or other Web frameworks.
  • Proficient in coding in Java.
  • Advanced in two or more technologies such as Functional Programming, BPMN, Microservices, RESTful web services development, JMS, Kafka, Hibernate.
  • Experience with JDBC/JPBA frameworks such as Hibernate or MyBatis.
  • Experience developing with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, Karma, Protractor, Jasmine, Mocha, Selenium, and Cucumber.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cloud Native architecture Azure/AWS, Containerization/Kubernetes/Terraform.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, Non-Functional requirements like Resiliency, performance, and Security.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline.
