About the position

Cognizant is seeking a highly qualified React Native Developer to join their Digital Engineering practice in Dallas, TX. The role involves developing and maintaining scalable enterprise applications with a focus on high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. The developer will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and clients to deliver valuable software quickly, while also participating in agile practices to continuously improve team performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain high-quality React Native applications using clean code.
• Use additional JavaScript libraries, such as Redux, to make asynchronous API calls and enhance website loading speed.
• Implement pixel-perfect user interfaces that match designs.
• Diagnose and repair bugs and performance bottlenecks for native-like performance.
• Engage with the open-source community to implement critical software fixes for React Native.
• Participate in sprint retrospectives and daily standups as well as two-week sprints.
• Apply new, contemporary animations and transitions to enhance user experience.
• Plan the data and presentation layers of the application's front end.
• Contribute to a React Native developer community that shares knowledge and assists one another.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.
• 6+ years of industry experience in software development.
• Extensive knowledge of React tools such as Webpack, Enzyme, React.js, Flux, and Redux.
• Solid command of JavaScript, TypeScript, or Clojure Script languages, including ES6+ syntax.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, document request model, and offline storage.
• Ability to align with Full Stack clients' goals and deliver on team commitments.
• Strong teamwork skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
