About the position

The Ready Mix Driver position at Tomball Plant is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a ready-mix truck, delivering concrete and associated products to construction sites. The role emphasizes a safety-first attitude and adherence to company standards and federal regulations. Drivers are expected to maintain good customer relations and assist in training co-workers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive loaded truck to delivery destinations according to dispatch instructions.
• Fill water tank, check slump of load, and clean excess material from the truck.
• Inspect job sites and ensure adequate vehicle access for unloading materials.
• Communicate truck status with Dispatch using two-way radio and encoders.
• Perform pre-trip vehicle safety inspections and report vehicle condition at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Comply with safety rules and wear personal protective equipment.
• Maintain Driver's Daily Logs and report customer order changes to dispatch.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. (or equivalent work experience).
• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with a valid medical card.
• Ability to provide high standards of customer service.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products and adaptability to other software.
• Satisfactory work attendance record.
