About the position

As a Real Estate Account Analyst at Crown Castle, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of our property management operations. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee financial data within our ERP system, ensuring its accuracy and compliance with SOX regulations. This position is integral to the Revenue or Expense team, where you will abstract contract financial data that is essential for reporting and deliverables to our customers, property owners, and Senior Leadership. Your meticulous attention to detail will help uphold the integrity of our operations and support the company's mission to connect cities and communities through our extensive communications infrastructure. In this role, you will manage and monitor processes related to Commencement or Quality Assurance activities, ensuring that financial data remains accurate and reliable. You will oversee the timely payments and billings to clients and property owners, verifying compliance with contractual agreements. Adhering to the accounting close schedule is critical, as is implementing quality assurance measures to identify and rectify discrepancies in billing and payments. Your collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Legal, Client Services, and Real Estate Services, will be essential in addressing financial discrepancies and ensuring accurate data management. Additionally, you will maintain detailed documentation of processes, corrections, and escalations, generating reports to track the status of financial accuracy and resolution. Identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains will also be part of your responsibilities, as you strive to enhance the quality assurance domain within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor processes related to Commencement or Quality Assurance activities ensuring ongoing accuracy and integrity of financial data within our ERP system.
  • Oversee and facilitate accurate and timely payments or billings to clients and property owners, verifying compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Follow all applicable deadlines and responsibilities as outlined in the accounting close schedule.
  • Implement quality assurance measures to identify and correct discrepancies in billing/payments, ensuring precision in financial transactions for audit and SOX compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Legal, Client Services, and Real Estate Services to address financial discrepancies and ensure accurate billing and data management.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of processes, corrections, and escalations, and generate reports to track and communicate the status of financial accuracy and resolution.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and automation within the Commencement or Quality Assurance domain.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or quality assurance, preferably within a real estate or property management setting.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems, data management, and billing processes.
  • Knowledge of legal documentation and compliance requirements related to financial transactions and (GAAP) Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
