About the position

The Project Manager in Real Estate and Development at Apple is responsible for overseeing the design and construction of office and research facilities. This role involves close coordination with various stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. The Project Manager will lead capital projects, manage relationships with architects, engineers, and contractors, and contribute to sustainability initiatives within Apple's global real estate portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project stakeholders from various teams including business units, real estate, legal, design, EH&S, energy, construction, network, maintenance, and operations.
• Manage and support architects, engineers, specialty consultants, vendors, and general contractors from initial programming to construction completion.
• Deliver capital projects that meet or exceed expectations in quality, budget, and schedule.
• Run multiple projects including equipment upgrades and modifications within occupied buildings.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in corporate office construction as a project manager in North America.
• Deep knowledge of the construction industry, design process, and construction practices.
• Excellent planning, analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read design and construction drawings for all disciplines.
• Experience with the fast track design build construction model.
• Ability to learn new project management software quickly.
• Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture degree.
• Ability to work well with others and create strong field and corporate relationships.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience using cost tracking and scheduling software.
• Ability to gracefully adjust to changing circumstances such as project priority reassignment and customer needs.
