About the position

My client is looking to add a top-notch Real Estate Asset Manager to join their team. The Asset Manager will oversee the management of Commercial and Multi-Family Residential assets, ensuring that all properties are performing optimally and meeting financial goals. This role involves a significant amount of responsibility, including financial valuations, drafting value-add business plans, and providing guidance on budgets and capital improvements. The Asset Manager will report directly to ownership, the CFO, and private investors, making it essential to maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders. In addition to financial oversight, the Asset Manager will oversee on-site Property Managers, Maintenance Managers, and sales teams, ensuring that all aspects of property management are aligned with the company's strategic goals. This includes tracking occupancy rates, expenses, cash flow, and capital expenditures. The Asset Manager will also be required to visit locations as needed to ensure property performance and maintenance standards are met. Developing and updating valuations on each property within the portfolio is a critical aspect of this role, as is planning and attending broker open houses and market events to promote the properties effectively. Furthermore, the Asset Manager will monitor the leasing and marketing of properties and oversee, develop, and maintain vendor relationships to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Asset Management of Commercial and Multi-Family Residential assets

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Real Estate or related field
  • 3+ years proven experience in asset management (Preferred)
  • Financial modeling and underwriting (Preferred)
  • Experience overseeing and training staff (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with Real Estate funds and syndications
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop long term strategic relationships with sponsors/developers/brokers
  • Strong negotiation skills and analytical abilities
  • Ability to proactively assess risk and opportunities
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize projects
  • Self-motivated and personable
