About the position

The Real Estate Construction Project Manager at CEVA Logistics is responsible for overseeing various project and construction activities related to the company's industrial real estate portfolio in North America. This role involves defining tenant improvement specifications, analyzing construction bids, and managing restoration and exit activities. The position emphasizes sustainability by ensuring that projects align with LEED standards and involves significant collaboration with internal teams and external contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Sustainability Planning and Execution to align the NORTAM portfolio with LEED standards.
  • Verify plans and specifications prior to lease execution, reviewing initial project estimates and bidding.
  • Prepare scopes of work and recommend contractors/builders/developers for project selection.
  • Manage the Tenant Improvement scoping process for lease transactions.
  • Ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of negotiated Tenant Improvements, submitting reimbursement claims as applicable.
  • Create and enforce a construction schedule, tracking progress daily and planning monthly.
  • Negotiate scopes of work and final contract amounts, preparing and verifying change order requests.
  • Respond to RFI's or submittals and contractor-related questions.
  • Verify compliance with plans and specifications, attending jobsite meetings and managing project completion duties.
  • Lead and manage the site decommission process, ensuring restoration obligations are met and site closure activities are coordinated.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate or Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum three years related experience in commercial industrial construction.
  • Experience managing projects between $5MM-40MM.
  • Certifications in Project Management.
  • Experience with trucks, trailers, or other heavy equipment.
  • Knowledge of Contract Logistics and Air, Ocean, and Ground Freight Management.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
