About the position

The Real Estate Financial Analyst at the Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority is responsible for overseeing the financial activities associated with various development projects throughout their lifecycle, including pre-development, construction, and post-construction phases. This role requires close collaboration with Project Managers to ensure financial reconciliation, budget management, and compliance with HUD and lender requirements. The analyst will track expenses, manage project budgets, and facilitate communication with lenders and auditors.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Construction and Development teams to track and reconcile project expenses.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with HUD capital expenses and budget limits.
  • Manage financial closing processes, including setting up budgets in Yardi Job Cost.
  • Process and review purchase orders, pay applications, and contractor payments.
  • Prepare and manage journal entries, cash flow forecasts, and monthly financial reports.
  • Work with external auditors and ensure accurate documentation for cost certifications.
  • Ensure timely submission of closing documents, lender communications, and compliance with equity requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in multifamily real estate or a related industry.
  • Proficiency in Excel and project management tools.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience with financial reconciliation, budgets, and development projects.
