About the position

Atlantic Pacific Companies is seeking an experienced and talented Real Estate Financial Analyst for our corporate office located in the Miami area. This position will be assisting the executive team of our Multifamily Development Division in underwriting primarily market rate apartment developments as well as workforce and affordable housing development opportunities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about real estate finance and enjoy challenges while helping others succeed. In this role, you will be responsible for financial modeling, which includes assisting with the preparation of applications for financing to public entities and financial institutions. You will perform market research to verify economic assumptions used in pro formas, conduct rental rate analysis, and cultivate broker relationships for market information. Additionally, you will identify economic and general issues that may impact investment and development strategies, update financial models with actual data to evaluate financial performance, and create financial models to evaluate property investment exit strategies, including operating costs, revenue, and income streams. The position also involves due diligence tasks, where you will assist with acquisition due diligence and physical due diligence, including reviewing contracts, preparing budgets, and gathering consultants for potential acquisitions. You will support multiple executives with financial models and analysis, work with Development Associates to resolve development issues, and assist various company personnel in the fundamentals of Excel. Special projects and analyses for executives will also be part of your responsibilities, requiring you to summarize and present findings and recommendations succinctly to both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • High proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are a must.
  • Outstanding quantitative skills are required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Real Estate Finance is essential.
  • Ability to work independently, be reliable, and organized.
  • Professional, energetic, and positive attitude is necessary.
  • Superb customer service skills are required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
