About the position

The Real Estate Manager at KinderCare Learning Companies will lead the execution of the new preschool growth strategy within a designated territory. This role involves collaborating with internal and external teams to make informed decisions and provide recommendations to senior leadership. The position is field-based and requires extensive travel across the Central Region of the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Drive market planning, site selection, LOI and lease deals, and provide real estate support throughout the development process in assigned metros in Central U.S.
  • Achieve company growth goals while meeting financial requirements.
  • Lead all aspects of activities of broker networks and preferred developers to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Manage the pipeline of sites from identification through lease execution, leading the process with external team members and internal partners.
  • Utilize documentation, analytical decision support tools, and reporting to guide real estate-related decisions, including internal processes and controls, portfolio analyses, and site approval documents.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to the real estate director to meet new site goals and respond to industry trends.
  • Assist Asset Management and other brand growth teams to guide portfolio optimization and investment decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, economics, or a business-related field strongly preferred.
  • 3 or more years of validated experience in retail real estate, asset management, or development.
  • Experience leading and managing developers and broker networks with expertise in lease language structure and interpretation.
  • Proficient in market planning and analytics, financial analysis, and real estate processes associated with a multi-state development program.
  • Strong team-oriented demeanor capable of adapting quickly and managing multiple properties effectively.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, various GIS platforms (Sitewise), lease management, and project management software (Lucernex).
