About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled Paralegal to join our legal team in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will possess a Paralegal Certificate and have substantial experience in Real Estate Law, Contract Negotiation, and Commercial Real Estate. This position is crucial for assisting our attorneys with various legal tasks and ensuring the efficient operation of our law firm. The Paralegal will play a key role in supporting the legal team by conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, and managing case files. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail while effectively communicating with clients and other parties involved in legal matters. In this role, the Paralegal will conduct legal research and gather relevant case information to support ongoing legal proceedings. They will assist attorneys in preparing and drafting a variety of legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs. Additionally, the Paralegal will be responsible for organizing and maintaining legal files and documents, ensuring that all materials are readily accessible and up-to-date. Coordination of meetings and appointments will also be a key responsibility, along with managing attorney calendars and deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks. The Paralegal will attend real estate closings, assisting with document preparation and execution, and will review and analyze contracts and agreements for accuracy and compliance. They will also be involved in contract negotiation and drafting, handling administrative tasks such as billing, timekeeping, and record keeping. This position requires a proactive individual who can multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information

Requirements

  • Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a law firm, with a focus on Real Estate Law and Contract Negotiation
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research databases
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Experience in Commercial Real Estate
