About the position

This full-time, in-office position is designed for Paralegals located in the South Florida region, specifically at Alliance Virtual Solutions in Fort Lauderdale. The company is a US-based real estate firm that specializes in the acquisition, development, and management of real estate assets. The ideal candidates for this role will possess substantial experience in several key areas including Real Estate, Transactional Real Estate, Title Work, Contract Review, and In-House/Corporate work. A strong understanding of Florida State Laws and Procedures related to these areas is essential for success in this position. Candidates will be responsible for a variety of tasks that include drafting, reviewing, collecting, and organizing documents, forms, and information from various cases within the firm. They will also be expected to meet with and assist clients through various communication platforms such as phone, Zoom, or Google Meet. Additionally, obtaining necessary records and reports, drafting pleadings and discovery, and calendaring deadlines on a firm calendar are critical components of the role. The ability to relay messages between different groups and maintain organized documentation in an online database is also required. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and a team player, capable of working independently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and meeting deadlines. The position offers a standard workweek of 40 hours, with a competitive salary of $60,000 per year, along with benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Draft real estate and transactional real estate documents and contracts.
  • Conduct title work and obtain necessary documents and records from clients and state and local agencies.
  • Review and edit legal documents pertaining to real estate and transactional real estate in accordance with Florida laws.
  • Calendar deadlines and meetings effectively.
  • Meet with clients as necessary to discuss case details.
  • Create and maintain both electronic and paper case files for organization.
  • Conduct research as required for various cases.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, in-house and external attorneys, and state and local agencies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in real estate and transactional real estate.
  • Bachelor's degree or valid Paralegal certificate.
  • Proficiency in drafting real estate and transactional documents and contracts.
  • Familiarity with Florida State Laws and Procedures related to real estate.
  • Ability to review and edit legal documents pertaining to real estate and contracts.
  • Strong organizational skills for maintaining electronic and paper files.
  • Ability to conduct research and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves
