About the position

The Real Estate Paralegal will support the legal department by performing delegated legal work related to real estate matters. This role involves drafting and reviewing various legal documents, providing litigation support, conducting legal research, and assisting with special projects as needed. The position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and implement lease agreements, lease amendments, and other related documents under attorney supervision.
• Assist counsel on real estate matters as requested.
• Provide litigation support on real estate claims as needed.
• Draft, review, and proofread various real estate agreements, identifying issues for review by supervising attorney.
• Gather data and coordinate various legal documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare real estate reports and memoranda, summarizing key legal and business terms.
• Conduct legal research and provide results to supervising counsel.
• Assist with special projects as needed by the department.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree; Paralegal Certificate from an A.B.A. accredited program preferred.
• Minimum five years paralegal experience, preferably in-house.
• Experience and knowledge of legal concepts involved with real estate and leasing matters.
• Excellent legal drafting, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Detail-oriented, diligent, and flexible with a strong sense of prioritization.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure with little direction.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in both real estate and leasing matters is preferred.
• Strong technology skills and adaptability to new tools.
