Real Estate Portfolio Manager

About the position

The Real Estate Portfolio Manager at IBM is responsible for managing the real estate strategy and performance for a designated portfolio, ensuring alignment with IBM's business strategy. This high-profile role involves direct interaction with senior executives and requires strong leadership and communication skills to deliver real estate services effectively. The position is based in San Jose, CA, and covers multiple states including California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, and Utah.

Responsibilities

• Manage the real estate strategy and performance for the assigned portfolio.
• Serve as the primary Real Estate contact for local client leaders and site location executives.
• Lead client and Global Real Estate resource engagements related to real estate initiatives.
• Coordinate and lead engagement and status meetings for real estate operations.
• Accountable for the total real estate expense budget for the assigned portfolio.
• Engage business leaders to develop investment prioritization and provide status updates.
• Develop and present content for business reviews and educate clients on industry trends.
• Align geographic and go-to-market strategies across all stakeholders.
• Partner with clients to collect requirements for space and investments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in real estate-related fields.
• 10+ years of relevant expertise in corporate real estate.
• Experience with budget oversight responsibility.
• Experience working with executive level management.

Nice-to-haves

• Master of Corporate Real Estate (MCR) - CoreNet certification.
• Superior team engagement and building skills.
• Ability to travel to portfolio locations as required.
