About the position

The Accounting Manager position at a dynamic real estate investment firm in San Francisco involves overseeing financial operations, managing cash analysis, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role offers a hybrid work model and opportunities for professional growth within a multi-billion-dollar portfolio environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily and weekly cash analysis for investment vehicles.
  • Approve payables and manage expenditure workflows across systems like NEXUS, Paymode-X/Kyriba, and MRI.
  • Address internal and external inquiries promptly.
  • Oversee monthly account roll-ups, reconciliations, and prepare Flash Reports for investment vehicles.
  • Lead the quarterly close process, prepare financial statements, and manage investor reporting.
  • Coordinate annual audits and tax preparation, including handling related queries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience in real estate, development, multi-family, or private equity.
  • Ability to interpret and apply accounting standards to complex transactions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong team-oriented mindset.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and thorough with follow-up tasks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with MRI and Juniper Square is preferred.
