About the position

Weitzman is seeking a Sales Associate to join its corporate office in Dallas, specializing in retail real estate services. The role involves performing leasing activities, developing strong relationships with tenants, brokers, and owners, and identifying potential tenants within the assigned portfolio. The Sales Associate will leverage their expertise in market trends and demographics to negotiate and close lease transactions effectively.

Responsibilities

• Source new tenants, negotiate, analyze and close lease transactions within the assigned portfolio
• Establish tenant and industry relationships
• Perform market surveys and cold calls
• Develop and send marketing packages and materials to potential tenants
• Thorough understanding of demographics, traffic patterns, and market trends
• Be knowledgeable of competing shopping centers and rental rates
• Provide leadership to less experienced team members
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree - degree in Business or Real Estate preferred
• Texas Real Estate License required
• 5 or more years of experience in retail leasing with a strong deal sheet
• Experience canvassing and cold calling
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Demonstrable industry relationships
• Skilled in relationship building, negotiation, mathematics, time management, and organization
• Exhibit initiative, assertiveness, persistence, ambition, good judgment, confidentiality, and attention to detail
• Ability to focus on many tasks and requests at once and to work independently in a high-pressure environment
• Dependable and punctual
