The Real Estate Title Paralegal plays a crucial role in supporting the Real Estate and Development Practice Group, as well as other practice groups within the firm that require real estate assistance. This position involves a variety of substantive legal tasks, primarily focused on title-related work. The paralegal will be responsible for conducting comprehensive title searches and updates, issuing detailed reports, and preparing title commitments and proforma policies. Additionally, the role includes drafting preliminary versions of conveyancing documents and closing documents, such as settlement statements and real estate transfer tax forms, which will be reviewed by an attorney. The paralegal will also handle other assigned tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of the firm’s real estate services. To excel in this position, the candidate must possess a strong understanding of New Hampshire Title Examination Standards, and familiarity with Massachusetts Real Estate Bar Association standards is considered a plus. The role demands excellent verbal and written communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a positive attitude, all while adhering to high ethical standards.
