The Real Property Agent II position within the San Bernardino County Real Estate Services Department focuses on leasing and property management. The role requires real estate professionals to manage various projects effectively while ensuring customer satisfaction. The primary responsibilities include negotiating property acquisitions, managing leases, and resolving landlord-tenant disputes, all aimed at supporting the county's real estate operations.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate for acquisition of various property types.
• Analyze contract terms and interpret appraisals, architectural plans, maps, title reports, and legal documents.
• Solicit proposals and negotiate leased facilities for County employees.
• Administer leasing and property management duties.
• Monitor improvements to ensure compliance with lease agreements.
• Resolve landlord/tenant disputes and other related issues.
• Interface with County personnel to address real property needs.
• Manage the surplus property process and oversee public auctions.
• Prepare Board Agenda items for public consideration and approval.

Requirements

• Three (3) years of full-time equivalent professional real estate experience in leasing and property management, specifically in mixed use, office, industrial, or retail environments.
• OR two (2) years as a Real Property Agent I with San Bernardino County or in an equivalent or higher-level classification within a comparable public agency.
• Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed college coursework in real estate, public/business administration, economics, or a closely related field.

Nice-to-haves

• A Bachelor's degree in real estate, public/business administration, or a closely related field is highly desirable.
