About the position

Chugach Government Solutions (CGS) is seeking a Real Property Manager to join our team at Maxwell AFB, AL. The primary responsibility of this position is to perform technical and administrative duties related to real property accountability, real estate transactions, real property assignments, and real property reporting. The incumbent will be responsible for the accumulation, input, and accuracy of real property inventory data into the Automated Civil Engineer System - Real Property Module (ACES-RP). This role requires interpreting and applying real property regulations to ensure compliance and accuracy in all real estate dealings. As a Real Property Manager, you will supervise, oversee, and direct craft and professional personnel within the department. This includes using personal judgment and discretion to assign work tasks and prioritize work for accomplishment. You will also be involved in recommending personnel for training, advancement, promotion, and disciplinary actions, including termination, to senior management. The role involves writing job descriptions, interviewing prospective candidates, and making hiring recommendations to senior management. In addition to supervisory duties, the Real Property Manager will perform periodic site visits to inspect ongoing projects and direct craft personnel on work tasks. You will act as a technical advisor to the Program Manager for all matters relating to assigned functional areas and provide support in managing real property assets. Utilizing the ACES-RP database application, you will maintain accountability of real property, review all in-grant and out-grant real estate documents for accuracy, and maintain records detailing acquisitions, capital improvements, disposals, and other changes pertaining to accountable real property at the installation. This position requires a strong understanding of federal government real property procedures and the ability to maintain detailed records in accordance with AFH 32-9007 Managing Air Force Real Property.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years' experience in easements, real estate accounting, and real estate transactions.
  • Knowledge of federal government real property procedures, including AFI 32-9001, AFI 32-9002, AFI 32-9004, and AFI 32-9005.
  • Proficient database and spreadsheet skills to prepare detailed correspondence, reports, forms, and technical materials with accuracy.
  • Secret Security Clearance required.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
  • Valid state Driver's License with an acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
  • Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
