About the position

The Accounting Manager for Reality Labs will oversee financial accounting for digital content, ensuring compliance with US GAAP while supporting business initiatives. This role requires collaboration with various teams to maintain accurate financial reporting and drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary accounting contact for first party studios, collaborating with business partners to enable appropriate accounting processes.
• Lead go-to-market accounting efforts, supporting business internal roadmap and goals.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Business Development teams to understand business models and accurately account for digital products.
• Establish and maintain a timely and scalable month-end close process for digital content.
• Review revenue contracts for compliance with GAAP (ASC 606) and internal policies.
• Drive process improvements by identifying opportunities and partnering with cross-functional teams to implement scalable solutions.
• Assist in systems testing for new product launches and business initiatives.
• Partner with internal and external auditors to complete audit requests, including SOX compliance.
• Assist in preparing quarterly and annual reporting packages for management.
• Handle other ad-hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Proficient with ASC 606 and providing accounting guidance.
• Understanding of accounting principles and practices, financial reporting, and analysis.
• Effective understanding of the Digital Content industry (gaming, entertainment, and software products).
• Highly collaborative temperament with proven communication skills.
• Experience in optimizing or redesigning existing processes.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of finance and accounting experience in the Digital Content space.
• MBA/CPA preferred.
• Experience with Oracle ERP and Essbase.
