About the position
The position at White Cap involves supporting the sales effort by handling material take-offs from plans and drawings, particularly sophisticated plant plans. The role is crucial in ensuring accurate quotations and developing relationships with engineers and vendors to facilitate sales opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the production and accuracy of material take-offs and developing quotations in support of sales efforts.
- Facilitate the entry of bids/quotations into the system.
- Research Dodge, CMD, or any other construction plans for sales opportunities.
- Develop relationships with engineers to discuss plans and specifications.
- Develop vendor relationships to assist in specifications and pricing.
- Maintain Bid Tracking system.
- Provide pricing profile adjustment recommendations.
Requirements
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline.
- Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field.
- Certification is required in some areas.
