About the position

The Receiver, Supply Chain / Purchasing position at Denver Health involves receiving and distributing all items ordered for the organization's operations. This role is essential for maintaining the flow of supplies and ensuring that all items are accurately processed and delivered in a timely manner. The position requires effective communication and coordination with various departments to meet internal and external customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Physically receives and distributes all items ordered for Denver Health operations.
  • Financially receives all items ordered for Denver Health in the ERP—Lawson.
  • Validates Purchase Orders for accuracy regarding quantities, manufacturer item numbers, and unit of measures.
  • Digitizes and indexes all supporting documentation and attaches these documents to the Purchase Order(s).
  • Utilizes a hand-held scanner to record all package transactions from carrier to the end user.
  • Prioritizes packages based on delivery expectations, delivering first overnight and next day air first.
  • Determines necessary action in situations arising during the absence of the manager and coordinates work activities to meet customer needs.
  • Keeps supervisor advised of operational and other work-related problems and solves those that do not require administrative disposition.
  • Works with Purchasing to assure updates and improvements occur for each financial transaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One year of warehouse or distribution experience required.
  • Colorado Driver's License Class R required.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, purchasing processes, warehouse operations, and distribution helpful but not required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using the appropriate communication channel.
  • Basic knowledge of distribution equipment, such as pallet jacks, hand carts, and forklifts.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of inventory management and purchasing processes.
