About the position

The Receiving Clerk at YouBar is responsible for managing inventory counts and ensuring quality control for incoming and outgoing shipments. This role involves unloading delivery trucks, verifying shipments against invoices, and organizing products in designated storage areas. The position requires adherence to safety and food safety standards while maintaining accurate records of goods received.

Responsibilities

• Direct delivery drivers to the correct unloading station
• Receive and sign for deliveries
• Check deliveries against orders, invoices, manifests, and other documents to verify correctness
• Record and report overages, shortages, and discrepancies
• Work with shippers to rectify problems with deliveries
• Inspect the condition and quality of delivered items
• Record and reject damaged items
• Process returns of damaged items
• Prepare and keep records of goods received
• Complete daily receiving entries into the computer system
• Store product/goods in an orderly manner in appropriate allergen lanes
• Correctly route items to relevant departments and process inter-company transfers
• Package products for return to vendors and fill out necessary paperwork
• Organize stock and maintain inventory
• Scan and count inventory accurately
• Compile regular reports for management
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
• Conduct regular cycle counts
• Work with supply chain and operations regarding stock levels
• Comply with standard safety and operating procedures
• Follow Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP)
• Communicate and follow YouBar's food safety commitment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 1-year general receiving/warehouse experience
• Forklift certification
• Ability to operate other warehouse machinery such as pallet jacks
• Proficient in relevant computer applications such as MS Word and Excel
• Experience with relevant warehouse management system (WMS)
• Adhere to shipping and inventory operating procedures
• Math and recording skills
