About the position

The Receiving Clerk position at McGrath involves managing the receipt and organization of materials and supplies within a warehouse environment. The role is essential for maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the overall efficiency of warehouse operations. The clerk will operate forklifts, document incoming materials, and ensure compliance with safety guidelines while contributing to a positive workplace culture that values employee input and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Records receiving data.
• Receives and unpacks materials and supplies.
• Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement, and record-keeping purposes.
• Completes shipping and receiving reports.
• Provides basic support to the warehouse.
• Operates forklifts to stack and retrieve supplies and materials.
• Documents and maintains inventory and ensures production area organization and cleanliness.
• Works closely with the purchasing agent to track and organize equipment and material.
• Notifies purchasing agent of the arrival of special order items.
• Interfaces with the purchasing department to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
• Unloads materials from vendors.
• Complies with safety guidelines per company policy.
• Participates in various data entry activities and supports material handlers as needed.

Requirements

• Forklift Certification preferred.
• Prior experience in related work required.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office, especially proficiency with Excel spreadsheets.
• Ability to follow spoken and written instructions.
• Ability to safely perform all tasks and understand the company's safety policies and procedures.
