About the position

The Receiving Clerk at dnata Catering plays a crucial role in the supply chain operations by receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming shipments of food, beverages, and other supplies. This position ensures that all items meet quality standards and are properly stored, contributing to the overall efficiency of the catering services provided to airline passengers. The role requires attention to detail, collaboration with various departments, and adherence to safety and food handling policies.

Responsibilities

• Accept deliveries from suppliers and check delivery against purchase orders for accuracy and quality.
• Notify supervisors of any discrepancies or issues with deliveries.
• Fill out necessary documentation for received goods.
• Assist in breaking down skids and putting away raw materials in a timely manner.
• Restock, move, and rotate stock within storage areas, including refrigerated and non-refrigerated areas.
• Maintain clean storage areas and clean up spills and breakages.
• Assist with checking and auditing inventory when required.
• Comply with all HACCP/GMP and proper food handling policies and procedures.
• Pack racks and ovens when needed.
• Ensure all purchase orders are completed correctly.

Requirements

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years of work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience entering data into an ERP System.
• Knowledge of inventory management and LIFO/FIFO methods.
• Ability to work in refrigerated storage areas.
• Physical strength to move stock on flat surfaces and up inclined ramps.
• Use of hand trucks, lifts, and pallet movers required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Basic math skills for calculations.
