About the position

The Receiving Lead is responsible for overseeing the receipt and management of incoming materials in a warehouse setting. This role involves verifying counts, ensuring quality, and managing documentation related to incoming shipments. The ideal candidate will also assist in training team members and maintaining inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Forklift to manage incoming materials.
• Ensure the count of incoming materials against the Purchase Order (PO) is correct.
• Verify the quality of incoming materials is acceptable.
• Sign bills of lading, verify shipper signature, and retain records.
• Enter receipts into the AS400 and Logimax inventory system.
• Prepare and print labels for incoming materials.
• Instruct employees on palletizing materials for warehouse storage.
• Assist with training the team on handheld and wrist scanners.
• Report discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Prepare and email container status reports to the purchasing team.
• Maintain container seals and documents for customer audits.
• Assist in relocating materials into storage racks.
• Review inbound container schedule and ensure adequate personnel for unloading.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of relevant experience.
• Previous Forklift Operator experience is required.
• Intermediate computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
