About the position

The Receiving Operator position at Newell Brands involves working as part of a team to manage the movement of freight, stock, and materials within the CCS Division. Located in Winchester, VA, this role is essential for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Move freight, stock, or other material to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles or containers by hand or using industrial vehicles.
• Inspect all incoming trailers and containers and document any damage to trailers, containers, product, material or equipment being transported.
• Use computer inventory system to track and keep accurate inventory records.
• Maintain a safe and accident free environment by adhering to safety standards and identifying safety issues.
• Keep work area clean.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred, experience will be considered in lieu of education.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to lift 40lbs.
• Internal candidates cannot have more than 3 ½ points in attendance or any Work Rule Violations.

Nice-to-haves

• Must be a team player and able to communicate effectively with co-workers and leadership.
• Forklift experience required.
