About the position

The Receiving Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the receipt and organization of deliveries within the casino environment. This position involves collaboration with various departments to ensure proper inventory control, product ordering, and exceptional guest service. The specialist is responsible for overseeing storage areas and ensuring efficient flow of information regarding products received.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries to all areas of the casino, including the back-office area.
• Work with purchasing and accounts payable for proper receiving and flow of information on products.
• Collaborate with Food and Beverage on monthly inventories and transfers.
• Order products and restock as necessary, overseeing storage areas for organization and space utilization.
• Control inventory in the warehouse, ensuring old/unused inventory is removed as needed.
• Provide exceptional guest service to all customers.
• Receive invoices with each delivered item and check against purchase order information.
• Note discrepancies between the invoice and purchase order for reconciliation with Purchasing.
• Sort and deliver items to specific areas using a pallet jack or hand cart, lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Provide monthly inventories for casino restaurants and forward final counts and transfers to Accounting.
• Support warehouse storage and manage kiosk tickets.
• Clean associated support areas, including back of the house offices and restrooms as needed.
• Complete daily projects in areas of hotel, kitchen, or as directed.
• Provide restorative services during emergencies, including working alternate hours.
• Clean dining venues when not in operation, including floors, table bases, chairs, and finishes.
• Work cohesively with a team to accomplish assigned duties.

Requirements

• Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 75 lbs.
