About the position

The Receiving Technician I at Clean Harbors is responsible for managing the movement of 55-gallon drums within the company's industrial warehouse. This full-time, permanent position emphasizes safety and offers competitive hourly wages, along with opportunities for career growth and advancement. The role requires a reliable individual who can work in a team environment and adhere to safety protocols while operating forklifts and managing inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
  • Use a forklift to offload and re-load drums and transport containers throughout the warehouse as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of the Company's Waste Information Network (WIN) system applicable to inventory and drum storage rack system.
  • Keep up to date with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and follow best practices for supply management in areas of responsibility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Windows-based computer applications.
  • Previous forklift operating experience is required.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • DOT Training is required.
  • Ability to climb on and off forklifts.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from the ground to waist level.
  • Ability to climb up and down vertical ladders.
  • Capable of reaching out, over, and down exerting a force.
  • 20/20 eyesight corrected or uncorrected, with critical depth perception.
  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • Punctuality and attendance are required.
  • Must pass a respirator fit test upon hire (clean shaven face required, mustache okay!).
  • Background check, drug screen, and physical are required.
