About the position

The Recent Graduate Automation Engineer I position at Schneider Electric is designed for recent graduates looking to kickstart their careers in automation engineering. This role offers comprehensive training in sustainability, automation fundamentals, and essential soft skills, preparing candidates for various opportunities within the Public Sector Operations division after a six-month development program.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a six-month development program to gain exposure to automation engineering and sustainability practices.
  • Conduct site audits for clients as part of the Hardware Design group.
  • Create estimates, scopes of work, and control designs to optimize Building Automation Systems (BAS).
  • Support the Applications team in developing applications and HMI for BAS optimization.
  • Utilize hands-on experience in the Field Operations group to implement automation solutions.

Requirements

  • Recent graduate with a degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and technical expertise.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS).
  • Familiarity with hardware design and control systems.
