About the position

Schneider Electric is seeking recent graduates for their Automation Engineering Development Program, which will take place at the Dallas Hub in Carrollton, TX. This full-time position offers a comprehensive 6-month training program designed to equip participants with the necessary skills in sustainability, automation fundamentals, and technical processes. Graduates will have opportunities in various divisions, including Hardware Design, Applications, and Field Operations, focusing on Building Automation Systems and energy efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a 6-month comprehensive training program.
  • Conduct site audits for clients as part of the Hardware Design group.
  • Create estimates, scopes of work, and control designs for Building Automation Systems.
  • Support users in optimizing Building Automation Systems through application development.
  • Oversee controls installation on sites and manage contractors in the Field Operations group.

Requirements

  • Recent graduate with a Bachelor or two-year technical degree in Engineering or a related discipline (Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.).
  • Valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and Project.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional certifications such as LEED, CEA, CEM, or CISCO.
  • Experience in designing, programming, or installing Building Automation Systems.
  • Familiarity with HVAC system sequence of operation and understanding of network architecture.
