About the position

The Schneider Electric Automation Engineering Development Program is designed for recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in the field of automation and sustainability. This full-time position, located in Dallas, TX, offers a comprehensive six-month training program that prepares participants for various roles within the Public Sector Operations division, including Hardware Design, Applications, and Field Operations. Participants will learn from industry leaders and develop both technical and soft skills necessary for success in the field.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a six-month training program to gain exposure to automation and sustainability practices.
• Conduct site audits and create estimates and scopes of work for Building Automation Systems (BAS).
• Support the Applications team in optimizing BAS through application development and HMI creation.
• Oversee controls installation on sites and manage contractors in the Field Operations group.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or two-year technical degree in Engineering or a similar discipline.
• Valid driver's license required for a minimum of 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations.
• Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and Project.

Nice-to-haves

• Professional certifications such as LEED, CEA, CEM, or CISCO.
• Experience in designing, programming, or installing Building Automation Systems.
• Familiarity with HVAC system sequence of operation and understanding of network architecture.
