About the position

The Receptionist/Accounting/Data Entry Clerk at Krueger Sheet Metal Co is a full-time role focused on providing administrative support while managing accounting tasks. The position requires a detail-oriented individual who is eager to learn and can handle multiple responsibilities, including data entry, customer interaction, and accounting functions. The role is essential for maintaining the company's financial records and ensuring smooth front desk operations.

Responsibilities

  • Input accounts receivable sales and accounts payable invoices.
  • Input payroll and prepare the company's daily deposit.
  • Input deposit information into the accounting system.
  • Work on certified payroll report entries.
  • Assist in contract billings preparation.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks and special accounting projects.
  • Answer a multi-line phone system and greet customers, vendors, and visitors.
  • Maintain the filing system and handle multiple projects.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Experience with Sage 300 CRE (Construction & Real Estate) accounting software is preferred.
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
  • Ability to perform data entry accurately.
  • Associate's degree in accounting is preferred.
  • Entry-level experience in accounting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience as an accountant.
  • Greater proficiency in Excel.
