About the position

The Receptionist/Accounts Receivable/Office Assistant position at Global Machinery involves a variety of administrative and accounting tasks aimed at supporting the company's operations. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage customer accounts, handle phone communications, and assist with various office duties in a small business environment.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones, transfer calls, and take accurate and detailed messages.
  • Process accounts receivable including setting up new customer accounts and updating insurance on accounts.
  • Process credit applications and daily bank deposits on customer accounts.
  • Handle payments via credit card, ACH, wire, and checks.
  • Call on past due customer accounts and resolve AR disputes.
  • Correspond with attorneys if collections go to legal.
  • Manage sales tax credits and invoicing.
  • Reconcile petty cash and maintain accounting documents.
  • Perform equipment registration and sold titling paperwork.
  • Support advertising co-op and parts, sales, service, and rental operations.

Requirements

  • Must be detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient with computers and related office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Self-starter and team player who thrives in a small business atmosphere with varied responsibilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
