About the position

The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant at New Light Hospice plays a crucial role in providing administrative support and ensuring a welcoming environment for visitors and clients. This position requires effective communication skills, a cheerful demeanor, and the ability to handle various clerical tasks while contributing to a team-oriented atmosphere in a hospice care setting.

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors with a warm and cheerful smile
  • Cheerfully and professionally answer inbound phone calls
  • Identify and resolve client customer service issues
  • Assist with Intake and Scheduling
  • Perform filing and clerical duties as needed
  • Sort mail, inventory, and order office supplies
  • Assist with employee events and team activities
  • Create and prepare documentation (forms, reports, etc.) as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned, supporting other departments as needed

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills and detail-oriented
  • High School Diploma or Associate's degree
  • Ability to work well independently and enjoy problem-solving
  • 2 years of customer service/front desk receptionist/clerical experience, preferably in a hospice or home health office
  • Valid Driver's license and proof of automobile insurance
