About the position

The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant position is a temporary, part-time role focused on providing front desk support during the income tax filing season. The ideal candidate will assist clients with tax-related inquiries, manage appointments, and perform various administrative tasks while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and provide accurate and friendly customer service
  • Answer phone calls
  • Ask detailed questions to correctly schedule appointments
  • Aid customers as they pick up tax returns and other documents
  • Correctly complete various data entry tasks
  • Assist company president and accountants with copying and other tasks
  • Keep all information confidential
  • Accurately file
  • Complete light office cleaning

Requirements

  • Courteous and enjoy working with people
  • Very detail oriented
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly professional appearance and tone
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Flexible as it relates to schedule, responsibilities and priorities
  • Able to multi-task
  • Must be available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 - 6 and every other Saturday from 10 - 3

Nice-to-haves

  • Customer service experience (1 year preferred)
