About the position

The Receptionist at Thousand Hills Pet Resort plays a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for both pets and their owners. This part-time position involves managing front desk operations, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of care for the facility. The receptionist will be responsible for client interactions, managing reservations, and ensuring that all office procedures are followed to enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients into the facility and provide a friendly atmosphere.
  • Answer phone calls and emails promptly and professionally.
  • Check clients' pets in and out of the facility, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Take detailed notes regarding pet information such as feeding instructions, medications, allergies, and behavioral traits.
  • Make reservations and manage waitlists for pet services.
  • Process new clients and maintain client records in the database.
  • Provide caring and friendly customer interactions, addressing complaints and forwarding them to the resort manager.
  • Advise the Resort Manager on beneficial changes or improvements for customer relationships.
  • Maintain office and customer standards and policies, suggesting improvements as needed.
  • Care for office equipment and supplies, reporting deficiencies to the manager.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in customer service.
  • At least 1 year of receptionist or office experience.
  • Experience in the Animal Care Industry is a plus.
  • Proficiency in navigating Mac Operating Systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with Google Docs/Sheets and online database management.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
