About the position

The receptionist at Randolph Health will play a crucial role in the daily operations of the internal medicine department. This position involves a variety of responsibilities centered around patient interaction and administrative support. The receptionist will be the first point of contact for patients, greeting them warmly and ensuring a positive experience from the moment they enter the facility. This role requires a high level of professionalism and a friendly demeanor, as the receptionist will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for patients and their families. In addition to greeting patients, the receptionist will handle various administrative tasks, including accepting payments at the time of service, answering telephone calls, scheduling appointments, and performing data entry of patient demographics. The ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high standard of customer service is essential. The receptionist will also need to have a basic understanding of medical terminology and third-party reimbursement processes to assist patients effectively and answer any questions they may have regarding their visits. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, both oral and written, and will be able to organize and coordinate assignments independently. This position requires a minimum of two years of experience in a physician's office, particularly in patient registration, to ensure that the receptionist can handle the demands of the role competently. The work schedule for this position is full-time, with hours typically from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a consistent work routine.
