About the position
The Receptionist at Abundant Life Church is responsible for performing routine clerical and administrative tasks, including answering phones, greeting guests, and maintaining records. This part-time position requires a commitment to the church's mission and values, as well as collaboration with other administrative staff.
Responsibilities
- Answer central telephone system and direct calls accordingly.
- Greet and assist guests in the administrative offices.
- Prepare outgoing mail and sort/distribute incoming mail/packages.
- Monitor and update files in the church membership database as needed.
- Operate office machinery as required.
- Assist Pastors and deacons with hospital visitation schedules and communicate updates throughout the week.
- Maintain conference rooms daily for meetings, ensuring they are stocked and hospitable.
- Ensure that bereavement gifts are ordered and delivered.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3 years of administrative experience.
- Typing, proofreading, and word processing skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to cover the desk when others are out.
