About the position

The Receptionist/Office Assistant at Active Care Chiropractic & Acupuncture is a part-time role focused on providing excellent customer service and administrative support in a healthcare setting. The position involves greeting patients, managing appointments, and assisting with various office tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, responsible, and a team player, with opportunities for promotion to full-time status after one year.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting patients as they arrive at the office.
  • Setting up devices for patients.
  • Confirming insurance eligibility and benefits.
  • Answering multi-line phone calls and sending messages through email.
  • Sanitizing all equipment after each use.
  • Collecting co-pays and other patient payments.
  • Scheduling appointments.
  • Billing to insurance.
  • Assisting the doctor or patients as needed.
  • Cleaning the clinic and its equipment.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to work with multiple patients confidently.
  • Must live within 30 minutes of the office.
  • Commitment to work for at least 6 months.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in Korean, Spanish, or Vietnamese (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Previous administrative experience.
