BME Fire Trucks is seeking a Receptionist/Office Assistant to support our management team. We are a locally owned Fire Truck manufacturer in Boise, Idaho, with over 30 years of experience in the fire industry. Our company is dedicated to building high-quality wildland fire apparatus that are used for fire suppression across the US and Canada. As a family-owned business, we prioritize treating everyone who interacts with us like family, ensuring that our customers receive the best service possible. The receptionist/office assistant plays a crucial role in providing an exceptional customer experience through courteous and professional interactions. This position involves answering incoming calls, performing general receptionist duties, and assisting management as needed. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a self-motivated attitude. This is a full-time permanent position located on-site in Boise, Idaho, with occasional overtime required. Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls in a professional and pleasant manner and transfer accordingly.
  • Perform general receptionist support work such as running reports, copying, filing, faxing, etc.
  • Assist management as needed with various tasks.
  • Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail.
  • Show strong attention to detail and communicate effectively with internal staff and external customers.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and initiative in daily tasks.
  • Manage the badges and site access system.
  • Manage the Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSOs) for the company.
  • Complete other administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year previous receptionist or customer care experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others as a team and with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1+ year previous receptionist or customer care experience.
