As a Receptionist/Patient Account Representative, you will be responsible for greeting and welcoming patients, answering incoming calls, verifying and updating patient information, scheduling appointments, processing transactions, and providing training to new employees. Your role is essential in ensuring that patients feel valued and cared for during their visit to Union Medical Group.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting and welcoming patients with a friendly attitude.
  • Answering incoming calls, taking messages, and routing calls appropriately.
  • Verifying and updating patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Scheduling and canceling patient appointments, preparing, and maintaining medical records.
  • Processing transactions and reconciling cash with charges, assisting patients with account inquiries and payment arrangements.
  • Providing training to new employees and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Previous medical office/clerical experience preferred.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Computer knowledge is essential.
  • Previous EMR experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is helpful.
  • Must be accountable, self-directed, and possess great interpersonal and customer service skills.
