About the position

The Receptionist/Personal Assistant position at a Home Care Agency involves overseeing office operations, managing personnel files, and providing support to the Administrator. This role is essential for maintaining efficient office functions and ensuring effective communication within the agency, particularly in serving the geriatric population.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operations of the office, including maintaining current employee personnel files.
  • Answer all phone calls and inquiries from applicants, visitors, and professional staff in a friendly manner.
  • Prepare and maintain the Agency's payroll system.
  • Compile statistics necessary for the Administrator.
  • Maintain all staff and contract personnel files and keep evaluation forms current.
  • Send deficiency notices to personnel as needed.
  • Assist in miscellaneous bookkeeping functions and submit bills to appropriate health care agencies.
  • Assist with payroll procedures for full-time and part-time staff.
  • Assume various duties as directed by the Administration in personnel and accounting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience as a coordinator or office manager, preferably in the health field.
  • Skilled organizer able to manage office files, log books, and staff schedules.
  • Possess light secretarial skills and have a polite telephone manner.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 year of customer service experience (preferred)
