About the position

The Receptionist/Teller at Servbank plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient banking operations while delivering excellent customer service. This position encompasses a variety of tasks, including receptionist duties and teller transactions, requiring precision and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet customers as they enter the bank and direct them to the appropriate services or personnel.
  • Answer and direct phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Manage the reception area to ensure it remains clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
  • Act as a backup teller when necessary.
  • Print statements and reports in the morning.
  • Balance inside and outside ATM machines.
  • Process mailed deposits and handle mailed insurance forms.
  • Process mobile deposits and remote deposits.
  • Renew license plate stickers for customers.
  • Fulfill audit requests and assist in audit processes.
  • Open and close the teller line at the beginning and end of shifts.
  • Place holds on deposited checks and file Currency Transaction Reports (CTR).
  • Open and close the branch as needed.
  • Assist customers in opening new accounts, including business accounts and safe deposit boxes.
  • Order debit and ATM cards for customers and address fraud-related issues.
  • Process stop payments and change of address requests.
  • Address online banking issues and assist customers with online services.
  • Manage check orders and reorder checks for customers.
  • Handle requests to increase mobile deposit limits and debit card limits.
  • Print check images for customers upon request.
  • Facilitate wire transfers, ACH transactions, and overdraft processing.
  • Manage returned mail and reconcile monthly interest and holiday club checks.
  • Order currency and coin as needed to maintain adequate supplies.
  • Process cashier's checks and set up Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) for customers.
  • Handle DocuSign requests and conduct maintenance reviews.
  • Process check adjustments and assist with SBA Leapfile ACH submissions.
  • Address subpoena levies, ACH returns, and VA/SSA reclamations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in banking or customer service is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and banking software.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in finance or related field is preferred.
