About the position

The Receptionist position at Mathis Home in Tulsa is a temporary role with the potential for retention. The role involves managing front desk operations, providing excellent customer service, and supporting various administrative tasks in a busy retail environment. The ideal candidate will have open availability, including weekends, and will contribute to a positive work atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Operate telephone to answer and screen calls
• Forward calls to appropriate personnel
• Provide information and take messages
• Greet visitors with a smile and determine the nature of their visit
• Direct or escort visitors to specific destinations
• Provide information about the establishment, including locations of departments and services
• Deliver mail to correct departments
• Arrange transportation services as needed
• Track merchandise leaving the store
• Log sales associates in and out for daily shifts
• Log call customers for sales associates
• Act as a role model for the store
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude
• Keep count of customers entering the store
• Perform any other duties as directed by management

Requirements

• Ability to repetitively use arms, hands, and fingers
• Effective communication skills with team members
• Positive attitude when working with customers
• Demonstrated customer service skills
• Ability to handle pressure
• Knowledge of employment and merchandise handling procedures
