About the position

We are seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist to be the first point of contact for visitors and callers at AWG, Inc. This full-time position plays a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for employees, guests, and partners while managing front desk operations and supporting various administrative tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day office operations.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome visitors, clients, and partners, ensuring a positive and professional first impression of the company.
  • Manage incoming calls, direct inquiries to the appropriate department or staff member, and take messages as needed.
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy, organized, and well-stocked with materials such as brochures, game merchandise, or company information.
  • Coordinate meetings, conference calls, and appointments for executives and team members as needed.
  • Handle mail and package distribution, including receiving and shipping.
  • Assist with ordering office supplies and maintaining inventory.
  • Manage guest access by checking in visitors, issuing visitor badges, and directing them to the appropriate meeting rooms or departments.
  • Maintain a log of visitors for security purposes.
  • Assist in the preparation and coordination of company events, such as game launches, press conferences, and internal team gatherings.
  • Support with event logistics such as setting up spaces, ensuring audio/visual equipment is functioning, and assisting with attendee needs.
  • Provide general assistance to the office team by helping with various administrative duties, such as filing, data entry, and document preparation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Previous receptionist or customer service experience, preferably in a fast-paced or creative environment, is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic office equipment (phones, printers, etc.).
  • Ability to maintain a professional and positive demeanor even under pressure.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic work environment.

  • A passion for video games and an interest in the gaming industry is highly desired.

  • Competitive pay starting from $18.50 an hour based on experience.
  • Full-time position with standard office hours Monday through Friday 8AM-5PM.
